Growing Media and Produce Perform, after more than a decade producing talent both in studio and as part of The SPIEL TV Show (now with 300M viewers on FOX, ROKU TV, AMAZON FIRE, and OnDemand, want to provide another stage for Artists (in all Genres) to compete and be recognized for their talent, hand-work, and hustle. This opportunity will open the door to better bookings, performing in larger venues, and provide the opportunity to be discovered by an Agent capable of changing the course of one’s professional life in an evening.

Artists from IL, KY, TN, MO, and IN who are not currently represented and their following is representative of someone on the climb.

Growing Media and Produce Perform have studios in IL. In the market for more than a decade, we’ve established some incredible relationships to include that with the Director of a sought after venue, the Marion Cultural and Civic Center. Marion is experiencing a building boom, and the town’s square is filled with small businesses that will benefit from the Awards Show. Every year the show will travel to another state (inside the region deemed Middle America). Perhaps the production will be in your town next.

It’s recommended that you become a Member, in large part, because of the savings you’ll receive/ a discounted entry fee. The membership keeps you connected with others in the music industry. Growing Media and Produce Perform will also be drawing at random entrants to appear on the TV Show The SPIEL (viewership 300M worldwide). Early entrants will also be considered to become one of the evening’s performers (five will be selected). Don’t wait to enter.

Sponsorships are allowed, affording some business or person some recognition for perhaps helping to make the dreams of an artist come true. If you play at a venue often, ask that business owner to sponsor you so that you can compete, providing for them bragging rights that (an entrant, a nominee/ or winner) of the MidAmerica Music Awards performs at said establishment (stealth advertising at its finest).

A large portion of the entry fee will be used to cover the awards presented to Nominees and Winners. We also have to take care of expenses for the qualified panelists selected to judge (for a day) the M.A.M.A. entries.

Once we receive the entries, you could be selected at random to appear on the TV Show, The SPIEL on FOX, ROKU TV, AMAZON Fire, & OnDemand). Individuals who enter early may be selected to perform before a Live Studio & Television Audience as part of the Awards Show. Nominations will be announced in Sept. and the Awards Show is scheduled for October 5, 2023.

If the only artist entering a particular category in your selected genre, you will be advised and asked whether you want to compete in another (similar) group of artists or if you would like your entry fee refunded.

Specifics about the Award Show will be shared in more detail as we near the evening of the event. Nominees will be contacted and asked how many they plan to have in attendance to experience the Red Carpet and the fun inside the beautiful Marion Cultural and Civic Center. October 5th, 2023 will be an evening of entertainment, food, drink, & discounts inside a number of businesses on the square participating as part of M.A.M.A.

Having the courage to compete is fulfilling in itself. However, to make the event even more interesting, Growing Media and Produce Perform have invited a number of well known Agencies (Representatives of each) to join us and see for themselves the incredible talent still undiscovered in this region of the country.

A win at the MidAmerica Music Awards will position you for bigger, better show dates inside larger venues. Having long-time relationships with a number of Agencies and well known venues throughout the country, producers of the show will share your name for consideration to perform on sought after stages everywhere. You will be invited to participate as a guest on the TV Show The SPIEL, now Worldwide (your music will be sampled by viewers stateside and overseas). You will be provided discounts on studio time, music video production, and for some; critiques will be provided by respected artists in your genres. Did we mention bragging rights? You just beat other artists that you perhaps admired, looked up to, wanted to emulate.

One artist, deemed the obvious standout across all genres, will be awarded nearly $70K in prizes (to include a recording contract, music video production, and sound recording session). This artist will also be provided media, a press junket (one on one interviews, audio, and video footage for your unrestricted use).

Entrants will be judged by a qualified panel in your genre. For instance, if competing in the Jazz/ Blues genre, your music will be shared with a noted group (individuals legendary themselves on the likes of Beale Street in Memphis, TN). Country artists will be judged by talent already discovered and working in Nashville, TN. Judges will be asked to offer critiques for each entrant, if time permits. There will be a portion of the Awards Show dedicated to a “Fan Favorite”, determined by the number of online votes received.

Entries will be judged by an accredited panel. Scores will be sent to a noted Accounting Firm, tabulated, and the name of the artist, with the most points in each category of genres represented, will be sealed in an envelope that will be presented to the announcer/ emcee the evening of the event just in time to share with you.
